“Go To The Beach” Re-Work

about a month ago, a friend asked if i cud try reworking the track for her side-project band(Spirit Week)’s song “Go To The Beach.” i said sure, but never got around to it until the last week of winter break. first time i tried doin indie. i was trying to go for a summery, chill, electronic, indie kind of track with some surf music flavor thrown somewhere in there…. i tried. first time i also tried mixing in some live instrument recording (with my ghetto set up of a headphone-microphone and the voice memo app of my ipod)…i tried. 

and it was fun.

aand another one. ever since i heard Blackbird Blackbird’s “Pure,” i knew had to do something with it. so today, i tried it out. i also started noticing it sounded really similar to Welcome Back Sailor’s “I’ll Be There,” so i thot id jus throw that in there too. combining chillwave indie with some boom-bap hip hop. and of course, this was so fun to make =)
